Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women and yet remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. Breast cancer most commonly metastasize to bone, being the only metastatic site in 28%-44% of the metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients. Bone-only metastasis is followed in frequency by multiple metastasis, mainly to lung, pleura, liver and brain. The disease is more stable in patients who first develop skeletal metastases than visceral metastases
