ommon Presenting Complaints, Endoscopy and Histopathology Findings in Patients with Dyspepsia in Our Setting: A Retrospective Study

Dyspepsia is a common gastrointestinal disorder that presents with a variety of symptoms such as epigastric pain, bloating, nausea, and early satiety. Despite its high prevalence, there is no consensus on the standard of care for dyspepsia, and different diagnostic approaches have been proposed. In our setting, the current practice involves testing for Helicobacter pylori and initiating treatment with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and antibiotics before referral for endoscopy and biopsy. This retrospective study aims to describe the commonest presenting complaints, endoscopy, and histopathology findings in patients with dyspepsia in our setting.
